We have been in the Lillooet area two years and opened Miner’s Rest last summer. We previously operated a B&B in Pemberton for two years and in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island for seven years. We are also B&B consultants and authors of the book, “To B&B or Not To B&B”, a reference for starting and operating B&Bs.
We retired from owning a B&B 5 years ago, but we missed the fun of B&B hosting so we opened “The Miner’s Rest” to meet new travellers and keep our hand in the business. We pride ourselves in offering wonderful breakfasts, quality facilities and great hospitality. We will be pleased to suggest sightseeing options, local activities and dining opportunities or assist you with your travel plans.
Mary is a certified English as a Second Language teacher and taught for several years in Vancouver. Bruce is a former Club Manager for several golf clubs and a racquet and fitness club.
Although we are landlubbers now, in the past we have had a love affair with the ocean and have spent a great deal of time sailing, both locally and one extensive trip from Vancouver to New Zealand.
We have a wonderful friendly Border Collie/Spaniel dog named “Lilou” who is really our true host. She welcomes our guests, allows them to pat her for hours and thinks B&B was invented for her.
We are pet friendly.
